Pros and cons of Castanet app for iPhone and iPad
Castanet app good for
Its convenient and relatively easy to use, however it would be nice if the stories showed up in order of date and time written. I find that some newer stories end up in the middle of the "latest stories" list so its hard to find new local stories. A local stories list would be nice.
The Good:
Little loading times
No or few ads
No bugs or glitches that ruin the app
The Bad:
Doesnt support ipad
Doesnt show the price upfront ( could show it if you but it sideways or shrink font
Cant share
Overall a good solid app that is easy to use
Ive been hoping for an update to Castanet for a long time. So far so good.
This app is well designed, intuitive, incredibly easy to use, and convenient. I think its the best way of getting local news! I particularly like the ease of updating/using the classified section.
Very nice site.
But could use some changes.
Should be able to save favorite classifieds when looking through them.
Very nice over-all. Especially like that it contains news items from throughout the Valley and includes some from Kamloops.
Some bad moments
It use it for classified and I want to know the price of the object before I go into the ad.. Also they need to add filters so I can see lowest price to highest and ect... Also the app crashes a lot which is very annoying because it doesnt resume where you left off, which means you have to find where left off at... PLEASE FIX SOON
I dislike the fact that I cant share articles/ads, there isnt an option to report ads and that the app doesnt have all the location options (eg. N. Okanagan)
Cannot upload my own adds from this app. Only useful for finding not for sharing.
Great to view articles but the inability to share or respond to ads makes it useless
Instead of updating to iOS 8 style. They took the app back to the beginning of time. No social media integration. Back to the drawing board to develop a quality app
New version is awful. Red lines give me a headache. Content and speed are good but look and layout are awful.
